129,000 modules in Brandenburg, from the first pile to the grid in eleven months: Chint Solar's largest project in Germany.
Schönermark-Süd is the first — and the largest — solar park built by Chint Solar in Germany: 80 MWp and around 129,000 modules in the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin, some eighty kilometres north-west of Berlin.
The first pile went in during January 2024; the plant has been in operation since December 2024. Eleven months from planning to completion, on wide, flat ground that allowed us to work at full pace along entire rows.
The plant is owned by CEE Group, which allocated 55% of it to the CEE Renewable Fund 8; around 81% of the electricity produced is covered by a guaranteed twenty-year EEG tariff. In July 2025 the park hosted an open day with more than eighty visitors.
